Opportunity Description: Our Day of Caring will be at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, specifically the Craig Floyd Giving Garden at Coogan Farm. This will be an opportunity for volunteers to come out and get the Giving Garden ready for the growing season. Each year The Craig Floyd Giving Garden grows and donates produce to be distributed at United Way's Mobile Food Pantries. This partnership has ensured those in need have access to healthy, locally grown produce at no cost.
What volunteers will do: Volunteers will assist in preparing the garden for the upcoming season's crops, removing invasive plants, as well as revamping picnic tables around the property to create a welcoming environment.
