Who We Are

Catholic Charities Diocese of Norwich, Connecticut was founded in New London in 1921. For over 105 years, Catholic Charities has been ministering to people of all faiths during their time of crisis. That is the foundation of our daily work. Being there for our brothers and sisters in need is he mission of the agency, and we are deeply committed to providing charitable and compassionate assistance to those families and persons who need a hand to help them through difficult times and circumstances.

What We Do

Our Vision is to assist all who come to Catholic Charities create goals and with information, education and skills necessary for the client to achieve goal(s). Catholic Charities offers the following Programs and Classes Job Readiness, Parenting and Pregnancy Program, Financial Empowerment Program(s), and Disaster Response Assistance. The Care Management/Basic Needs Programs are: Individual Needs Assessment, Utilities Assistance, Rental and Mortgage Assistance, Emergency Food, Prescription Assistance & Bus Passes, Furniture and Clothing Assistance, Baby necessities: Diapers, Wipes, Car Seats, Cribs, Toiletries SNAP Assistance, Adoption Records, Immigration Referral and Translation Services.
