UNFI Food Show Volunteer Opportunity
The UNFI Food Show is an annual event at Mohegan Sun. It brings local grocer wholesalers to the Winter Expo Center to showcase new products. This opportunity gives United Way, and its volunteers, the chance to pack up food to directly benefit the Gemma E. Moran United Way / Labor Food Center. Last year, this event resulted in over 26,000 pounds being donated to the Food Center.
What Volunteers Will Do
Volunteers will be tasked with collecting food, boxing like food items, and stacking collected boxes on pallets. There will be different stations throughout the expo center that will need to be broken down and palletized. Volunteers will work together to divide and conquer with fellow volunteers and United Way team members.
